As one of many nice traditions at our school, our jumble sale took place on April 28th.
The 5th graders prepared the jumble (books, toys, DVDs and many more) and organised their stalls in their classrooms. They even had food and drinks ready for the customers.
First, pupils had the chance to buy things from their own classmates and then the doors were open to 6th graders, interested students and teachers. This year, our exchange students from Philadelphia were among the customers which was a great opportunity to speak English to native speakers.
The outcome was amazing. The incredible sum of 900 Euros went to Hessen hilft, an organisation which supports people in need in crisis areas in Europe and all over the world. The head of Hessen hilft, Thomas Greilich, started this organisation when he was a pupil himself.
